Re: Sparky question - House circuit 1 or 2?
In your house everything comes off the Sam phase, the phase that supplies your consumer unit with 240v ac.

So just plug in where you like because it’s all supplied in common through your consumer unit.

The ring main if i remember can have unlimited sockets and then you have your lighting circuit which is totally separate

Even in my old house which was a big five bedroom job all the sockets were on a single circuit.

Does your fuse box have helpful labels for each type of electrical use, such as lights, cooker, washing machine, sockets etc? That may help, if there are one or two marked sockets.

For what it's worth, when i put power line adapters in a couple of years ago, I was unaware of circuit one or two. Internet comes in downstairs, power line adapter there and at desktop upstairs. Works fine.

Be very surprised, if what Far Cough says, isn't true.

I'm no electrician but I'm willing to bet all your plug sockets are on the same circuit, in any case, try it and see what happens
